According to The New York Post, Sophia went to the Ha Pak Lai park on Saturday with three friends. Cheung decided to take pictures at the edge of the waterfall at the Pineapple Mountain site, a popular place among the hikers. Sophia lost her balance and accidentally fell into the 16-foot pool.

The accident took place near Yuen Long’s Tsing Dai stream. Sophia Cheung slipped and tumbled down. Sophia’s friends called the emergency service after the accident and she was rushed to the nearby hospital. 

The Instagram influencer was pronounced dead on arrival.
